Evan Parra, AI engineer in Jacksonville and St. Augustine

About

I'm Evan. I build the software that puts AI to work.

I build the software a business actually runs on, and the company owns it outright: an agent that handles a workflow, a web app your team lives in, a vision system on the floor. Whatever the work demands, shipped into your own cloud.

What I do.

Today I'm embedded at a Northeast Florida commercial contractor as its software engineer, building apps the company owns outright that replace the rented tools its team used to fight. I measured the rented-tool spend before, and again after each app shipped. The bill is down, and the bigger return is the work those tools never did: cross-system reporting, multi-stage approvals, one place for field data. I also run two live products: TextTimeline (legal evidence search) and GammaRips (autonomous options scanner). Outside that I take on a small number of builds: embed for a quarter, a bounded project, or senior advisory.

Why I do it.

Frontier labs ship more capability every month than almost any business uses. MIT found roughly 95% of corporate AI pilots produce no measurable hit to the P&L; McKinsey traces the gap to workflow redesign, not model quality. The intelligence is cheap and getting cheaper. Wiring it into how a real business runs, learning the operations and connecting it to revenue, is the work almost nobody does well. That is mine.

How I do it.

One engineer, not an agency. I run my own practice on a harness I built: the setup around the AI that connects it to my systems, enforces my rules, catches mistakes, and remembers what works. The AI does the heavy lifting on the code, and an adversarial review gate kills the slop before it ships. That is how one person delivers production software at the speed of a team, and the same kind of harness, fitted to your business, is what I build for clients. I work in your cloud, Azure or GCP, with your code, your data, and your repo yours from day one. I take a small number of clients at a time so the work gets senior attention start to finish.
